Deer love greenery!

Tender, green foliage is a favorite food source of many deer.  Hostas, lilies, liriope, hydrangeas, etc. are all particularly enticing to a hungry deer and these plants have no natural defense against deer depredation. 

Deer also love buds, bark, and flowers! 

A deer will snack on almost anything that it can reach.  This means that even tall plants, such as arborvitaes or hollies, can easily become victims of deer damage. 

Sure they are cute, BUT...

A single deer can (& will!) eat 7 pounds of forage in a day - that's a lot of landscaping!
